Your bib, shirt, and runner packet can be picked at the Big Tree Inn (46 Main Street, Geneseo) on Friday the 30th from 3-7 and on Saturday the 31st from 11-7.

Pre-Race Pasta Dinner at The Big Tree Inn On Saturday August 31st, The Big Tree Inn (46 Main Street) is hosting our pre-race dinner. An all-you-can-eat buffet of pasta, salad, and bread between 5pm-7pm. Sign up for $10/person when you register or $12 at the door.
Receive course tips and meet fellow runners, the race committee, and our volunteers. Family and friends are welcome to join you at $10 or they can order off the menu. Top
Course Descriptions Half Marathon This USATF certified course (NY05122KL) is chip timed and runs on paved (40%) and dirt roads (60%) through the National Historic Landmark village of Geneseo and the Nations Road Grasslands, identified as an Important Bird Area by the National Audubon Society. The course runs past the majestic Oak Tree savannahs of the Genesee Valley and 17 GVC protected properties.
Six water stations are on the course, two with gatorade, along with live musical groups. A restroom will be located approximately at miles 4 and 11. Finish at the Geneseo Central School track.
Half Walkers: If you cannot finish by 11:15 (15min/mile pace), you may start at 7am. You must contact us for this early start.
You will finish under the banner, receive a medal and official time (your time will be a minimum of 3hrs). THIS IS FOR WALKERS ONLY. You are responsible to be at the starting line prior to 7am.
Course Closure: The course closes at 11:15. For safety, we cannot leave participants on the course after this time.
Half Marathon Course Preview
5K Run/Walk
This USATF certified course (NY0512KL) is chip timed and travels through the village of Geneseo, a National Historic Landmark, and past three GVC protected properties.
One water station is on the course. Live music along the course. Finish at the Geneseo Central School track. Walkers are welcome!

Kids Fun Run
FREE event for all kids under 10. Runs will be on the track starting at 9:15. Distances will vary and awards to all participants. No registration required. Listen for announcements these runs.

From the North (Rochester)
Take I-390 south to Route 20A (Exit 8); turn right traveling 4.8 miles to Main Street, turn right traveling 1.4 miles to the Central School.
From the East (Syracuse)
Take the New York State Thruway to Rochester (Exit 46); follow I-390 south, then use the 'North' directions above.
From the West (Buffalo)
Take the New York State Thruway to Batavia (Exit 48); turn left traveling 1.1 miles on Route 98, turn left taking Route 63 south for 25.5 miles, turn left onto Court Street. At the end of Court St (blinking light), turn left and travel .8 miles to the Central School.
From the South (Bath)
Take I-390 north to Route 63/408 (Exit 7); turn right onto Route 63 and travel 3.5 miles, continue straight on Route 39 for .7 miles, turn left onto Main Street and drive 1.4 miles to the Central School. Top
Weather Temperatures average 60*F at the start of the race and 75*F three hours after the start. Precipitation is minimal this time of year and races to-date have been dry. Wind is variable and out of the west.
Severe Weather Policy View the policy; this ensures the saftey of participants, spectators, volunteers and staff. To-date no modifications or cancelations have been necessary to the Oak Tree.

Spectators
Best viewing is along the north end of Main Street. The half marathon runners will be on Main St. from 8:00 till 8:15. The 5K runners/walkers will be on Main Street starting at 8:15 before turning onto Center.

Road Closures
Starting at 7:55am VILLAGE ROADS WILL CLOSE (Route 39, Main, Center, Highland, and North) to accommodate the start of the Half Marathon and 5K events. These roads will re-open at ~8:45 following the 5k.
Town Roads (Nations, Roots Tavern, and Houston) will be closed from ~8:00 until ~11:00 for the saftey of runners.
The Village police department is paid to assist with these road closures. The Livingston County sheriff department will also assist with closures to ensure participant saftey. Top
