Every spring, the fields come alive with a sea of bluebells, and every year, this hike sells out almost immediately. Don't miss your chance to walk through one of nature's most stunning seasonal displays. Whether it’s your first visit or a yearly tradition, it’s the kind of morning you’ll talk about long after the blooms fade.

What you need to know
This 3.5-mile route takes most hikers between 90 minutes and 2 hours to complete
The trail crosses agricultural fields, passes through wooded areas, and includes some short, steep sections
Sturdy footwear and a readiness for mud are a must
No motorized support is available on the route
Bring water and snacks
Please leave strollers and dogs at home
Parking is limited, so please try to carpool with your group
Where is the hike?
This event takes place on private property in Geneseo, and we’re very fortunate that the landowners are willing to allow 800+ people on their land for this spectacular event.
To honor that generosity and protect the integrity of the property, exact location details are shared only with registered participants shortly before the hike via email.

Yes — this is a limited-capacity event with timed entry.

While the Bluebell Hike is free, we welcome your donations to support our ongoing work to protect the habitat, open space, and farmland of the Genesee Valley region we all know and love.

You can register up to 6 adults and 6 children per registration group. If your party is bigger, you’ll need to split it up across multiple registrations.

This event happens rain or shine! Be prepared for unavoidable water/mud conditions, even if it’s not raining.

If you need to cancel, please refer to your confirmation email from our registration platform, Eventbrite. You’ll find a link to “view and manage your order” — click that, and you’ll be able to cancel your registration from there.
Doing so allows us to plan accordingly, and open up your slot to others who would like to attend. -
Good hiking footwear is a must. Rubber boots are recommended due to unavoidable mud.
Beyond that, dress for the weather. This event is rain-or-shine, so wear whatever you will be most comfortable in for the 3.5 mile hike.
