Our Mission

To protect the habitat, open space, and farmland of the Genesee Valley region.

Habitat

Plants and animals are not bound by property lines. As development chops up the landscape, they cannot survive. We work to protect large networks of land so wildlife has access to the lands they need to thrive.

Open Space

Undeveloped lands play an important role in protecting the Genesee Valley. From buffering protected areas from development to providing natural filtration for rainwater before it enters public drinking sources, we work to protect lands that matter.

Farmland

The rich soils of the Genesee Valley have supported people for generations. Development sprawling outside our villages cover these valuable soils. We work with farmers to protect the lands they depend on to grow food for our communities.
