Join us for Tree Planting Day at Island Preserve! We’ll be putting roughly 50 trees and shrubs in the ground as part of our ongoing restoration work on the preserve and we'd love your help making it happen.

We're excited to be joined by SUNY Geneseo's Rotaract and Geology Clubs for this one. It's a great way to get outside, give back, and see a beautiful part of our local landscape up close.

• We'll provide gloves, shovels, and everything else you need.

• Just wear sturdy shoes, dress for the weather, and come ready to dig!

• Parking is available at the lot on Route 39/Avon Geneseo Road or along Cavalry Road. Search "Island Preserve Walking Trail" in Google Maps and it will pop right up!

• Heads up: This is a moderate activity with about a half-mile hike in to the planting site.
