Annual Bluebell Hike returns May 2

One of the region’s most anticipated signs of spring is right around the corner. The annual Bluebell Hike returns on Saturday, May 2, offering a rare opportunity to walk through a woodland landscape transformed by thousands of blooming bluebells.

The event invites visitors to experience a fleeting natural display that draws hundreds each year and often fills within hours of registration opening. Timed entry slots will begin at 9:00 a.m. and run every 10 minutes through 2:00 p.m., helping to ensure a relaxed, enjoyable experience along the trail.

Registration opens Tuesday, April 21 at 12:00 p.m.

The hike takes place on private property in Geneseo, made accessible through the generosity of local landowners. To respect their privacy and help protect the landscape, the exact location is shared only with registered participants in advance of the event.

In addition to the hike itself, all registered participants will be entered into a raffle to win a panoramic photo print capturing the bluebells in bloom.

More information and registration will be available at https://www.geneseevalleyconservancy.org/bluebell.
