Welcome John Rutigliano: Development Director

John Rutigliano of Geneseo has joined the Conservancy as our new Development Director this fall.

“I have been a donor, an Oak Tree 5k runner and volunteer, a tree planter, and a Scouting Conservation Day leader at the Indian Fort Nature Preserve for the Genesee Valley Conservancy. My new role is one more way I can support local conservation,” says Rutigliano. “I am so fortunate to serve in a professional role that aligns so well with my personal values.”

John is a member of the Genesee Valley Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals where he is a mentor to junior fundraising professionals. John earned his Certified Fundraising Executive Credential (CFRE), which requires ongoing education, professional practice, and professional performance requirements.

John and his wife Dee Dee met at SUNY Geneseo and raised five children in the Village of Geneseo. They enjoy hiking, cooking, reading, traveling, and volunteering.
