Carole Volpe

Director of Communication

Born and raised in Corning, NY, Carole discovered the Genesee Valley when she became a student at SUNY Geneseo. Upon graduation, she moved to Boston, MA for almost a decade to experience big city life. In 2000, she moved back to the area and now resides in Geneseo. She is passionate about photography and videography and is excited to be the Genesee Valley Conservancy storyteller.

Prior to joining The Genesee Valley Conservancy, Carole was the Director of Communications and Outreach for The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University, focused on telling the stories for the School of Engineering, School of Art and Design, and the Performing Arts.

Carole also worked at SUNY Geneseo for 22 years, primarily as the Creative Director working with the enrollment and advancement divisions.
